Day to day today

Memorial

A short walk from me is Hawkshill Freedown, which is essentially a large field, or meadow. It used to be a World War I airfield, and this memorial is at the top of the field.

For some reason, I always find it difficult to take a photo of this and tried today with my phone - and the result is the best I've managed to get so far!

As it's such a beautiful day, it was surprising that I didn't see another person until I got down to the beach where several fishermen had set their rods up. Even the walk back along the seafront was quieter than it normally is. Have to say that the sea looked really inviting on a day like today!
