Last days of summer

Not quite as hot as what I hear it's been in other parts of Scotland but it was certainly a beautiful day, slipping back to Summer from our brief Autumn.

The farmers have been hoping for a few days like this to get the last of the harvest in. The fields have been looking tired, battered and bruised so it must have been a relief to get them dealt with.

I had intended to take advantage of the evening and headed out on my bike for a decent run. Popped in past a friend's house en route and ended up sitting in the garden watching the sun dip over the hill and discussing the pros and cons of an open view of the sea.
