New Helmet

Today was a teacher's work day so the boys stayed home with me. They ran errands with me and then I dropped Loren off for a few hours at a friends house to hang out. Then it was off to the long-promised visit to Toys R Us to spend some gift cards. We traveled around the store so many times...taking things off the shelves to buy and then finding something better and replacing the prior thing to it's shelf. This is how it works when they are spending gift card money. I go in there planning to be there for a while, and praying for patience before entering. Liam was trying to settle for a bike he didn't really like all that much because he had enough money for it. So it took some convincing to make him realize if he held out just a little longer, he'd have enough for the bike that was at the top of his list. So, believe it or not, he left there just buying himself and his brothers a soda and getting cash back from the card. He is ALMOST to the amount he needs for the bike at Target. Landon left there with two purchases...this snazzy helmet seen in this blip as well as a yellow remote control Trekbot. This little Trekbot got good reviews from kids and grown men who bought it to play with at work on their lunch hour (which goes to prove that boys never outgrow toys). :) Seeing this pic of Landon in his new helmet make me happy.
