Hakone Matsuri
This weekend was awesome. Friday through Sunday, I stayed at my best friend's house in Manteca. Her family threw her a graduation party, and being a Filipino family party, these things tend to get big and loud. All in all, her parents are very proud of her. She's going to be a great nurse.
It was so hot this weekend!!! HUNDREDS!? C'mon!
So today, Reina and I met my parents at San Jose so we could attend the Hakone Matsuri, which I thought I've attended before. Apparently, I haven't. Similar to the Cherry Blossom Festival, this tiny festival is celebrated in the Hakone Japanese Garden, which holds a magnificent bamboo garden. The highlights were the free sake and the tea ceremony.
