Startrails gone bad

Grr. A nice balmy night with no clouds and I spent over an hour in the dark getting freaked out by noisy cows and other general forest night time sounds all for this piece of dotted rubbish. Plus a stray aeroplane passed the bottom right corner

The problem is that after taking a 30 sec exposure, the camera takes another 30 seconds to write the data to the CF card hence the gaps. Hence the dots.

It's still not out of my system. Tomorrow I will be mostly researching.
