T.O. today
today our class was invited to the bell lightbox, to view the costume exhibit. the bell lightbox recently hosted the TIFF. they have an exhibit now with costumes from movies, including a couple that haven't been released. they had an outfit from Repo: the genetic opera, one from the upcoming film "the thing" they had some from gingersnaps, a progression of a bloody dress shirt used in a recent SAW film.. a few other i can't remember.. but it was awesome
afterward (in the pouring rain i might add) we went for lunch! :)
we went to the korean grill house... which is easily the best place i've ever eaten at!
they had a lunch buffet $8.99/person.
and they bring you 4 trays of meats. beef, chicken, pork, fish.. & they bring you a rice bowl (sticky rice) and they bring you 5 smaller bowls of garnishes... they had 2 kinds of bean sprouts i think.. i recognized one, but not the other.. tofu, kimchi, & some kind of pickled... onion i think.. small white, sweet...
the thing is, the meat is uncooked.. and in the centre of your table is a pit, with a cone grill on it, and they turn on the flames from underneath the table..
so, you put your meat on, make your little plate of rice & garnishes, & then your meat is done, so you eat everything & start over..
we sat there for 2 hours at least.. just cooking and eating.. it's the best place i've gone.. cheap.. incredibly delicious.. not overly filling... just really really good.
i can't wait to go back!
afterwards we went to a store called the black market.. where every single thing was literally $10... i found this amazingly cute t-shirt.. it has a guy in an old-timey scuba suit, standing in the rain with an umbrella.. i'm pretty in love with it. it's awesome. and random. also can't wait to go back there.

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
