Oxford Circus

A rubbish photo sorry.

I took it because it is the first time I have driven through Oxford Circus with the new style traffic/pedestrian control. It is based on a crossing in Japan I think. At one point all the traffic is stopped and people cross over all the roads, including diagonally. There are boxes attached to the lights where a countdown let's pedestrians know when traffic is going to move again.

I think it works! Less people waiting to cross but the test will be when the Christmas shopping starts.

Oxford Circus traffic junction is a nightmare for everyone.
