The Goddess (work in progress)

After a few basic lessons in water-colours, I realised that i didn't have the artistic flair for such a dainty material so i switched to pastels.........grown up crayons more like!......Hours of fun just smudging colours together and getting 'right messy' in the meantime.......This, hopefully, will be a present to a friend if I ever get round to finishing it. I've never gotten this far with a picture before and i'm not sure what i'm doing but i think it's going along the right lines.
