The Hole of Horcum
Summer has unexpectedly delighted us with a late return, so in the new car, off I went today for a drive up to the Hole of Horcum, near Pickering, a major landscape feature of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Strange how you can live near a place, drive past it often, yet never park up and go for a walk there? So it was today, as I finally made the short and easy walk from the car to photograph this scene.
Now where else should I go on this week as a 'doorstep tourist'?!
For those wondering, this was shot using 'vivid' colour setting, and a grad' grey filter for the sky, with some levels work in Photoshop as flare had flattened the image somewhat.
