Morning at work. Today's delight was to introduce the two senior infants to the surprisingly complex concept of writing your letters on a line. I explained that some letters had tails that went under the line. This news did not impress herself much; in fact she thought it a preposterous idea, flung her pencil down and announced ' I do not want to PROGRESS in handwriting.' She has a very good vocabulary.

Arthouse cinema starts again tonight. The first film is called The Beginners and stars Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer - the latter must be quite ancient by now. That's all I know about it.

Klaus made a playlist for us recently and introduced us to this amazing music - take a listen to Zoe Keating. I'm obsessed!! She is just wonderful with hints of Penguin Cafe, Bach and Vaughan Williams and himself reckons he's heard Nirvana as well!! Spooky - I was just doing this link and what should come up on the ipad but this very same track - Escape Artist!!!! (ignore the brief ad for Wired at the start).
