Looks Good To Me

Blipmeet and Family Reunion

It was a busy and enjoyable day.

C and I met chaiselongue and Lo Jardinièr for coffee, then lunch, at their village bar and had a great time. C follows Teleri's gardening and cooking blogs, and spent a year studying in Aberystwyth -- Teleri's hometown. There were plenty of things to talk about.

In the evening we went to Béziers to meet my brother Arthur and his wife Allison. They live in North Wales and were towing their travel trailer* down through France for their vacation. We hadn't seen them since my dad's funeral three years ago.

We got caught in rush hour traffic and one-way streets, so were late getting to the meeting place -- a little cafe adjacent to the Canal du Midi. Unfortunately, it wasn't serving food, in spite of the fact that its website said food was available all day, every day.

So we all walked over to the Polygone, a modern multi-story shopping center with a food court (and fountain) on the roof, and discovered that it is possible to get really bad food in France. In spite of the dining disappointment, we enjoyed seeing Arthur and Allison again.

I Googled Polygone when we returned home and found this cute little video of somebody walking the length of the fountain without getting wet.
