"Sougarami is the name given to the fishing technique in which six fishing boats line up side by side to drive the ayu (fish) into shallow water so they can be easily caught." It was awesome and beautiful to see. This is a technique and process that has taken place for 1300 years and is under the auspices of the Imperial Household Agency. It is also designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Asset of Gifu City.
