Bald eagle

Kerrsdaddy went on a half day Falconry Experience today, which was a birthday present from my parents. He loved it. He handled several birds of prey, including this rather huge and scary looking Bald Eagle.

He was rather hoping to get to handle a Golden Eagle too. However, the Golden Eagle is no longer allowed out to participate in the classes as it killed a dog at a show recently!

Now I realise why the lady said that under 8 year olds are not allowed on the premises incase the birds become aggressive. Eek!

Kerr and I stayed safely at home and heard all about it this evening.
