I know this isn't funny.

I've never lost a cat, and perhaps one day I'll be a person who lives with one.

More likely though, I'll be living in a cardboard box in Leith
under a bridge sitting in my own shit, half-crazed on bad drugs
and shouting at invisible dogs, but
maybe that's just the mood I'm in today.

On days like this, this is funny.

And cheers me up as I look into my dark hole of a future.
