Church and a walk
Sam and I got up this morning and went to Church, which was lovely. I hadn't been to this church before so it was nice to see it and the people were very friendly. Then we came home and had lunch. We then went out for a walk with Sam's Mum. We went to a local National trust place. There is a monument there which you can go up, it has 172 steps which are all in a spiral stone staircase, it was alright going up, but I wasn't keen on the walk down. The view from the top was lovely though. This is a photo of the view back down the drive from the top. We then walked down a hill to a little village and when we got there we stopped and had a drink and then walked back up again.
When we got home we took some welsh cakes to Sam's Grandpa, he was very happy to have some. Then we went home again and had dinner, packed our things, sat and chatted to Sam's Mum and then it was time to leave for my house. Sam is staying with us for the next two weeks, until I go away and then for a couple of days after. It was very weird saying goodbye to Sam's family, it's finally starting to hit me that actually I am leaving soon. It has been a long way off for such a long time that now it doesn't feel real.
