Today because we were still in Northumberland we headed to one of the local attractions before heading back to the 'burgh.
I've taken a bit of a thing for honey of late - so we headed off to a local honey farm to get some locally sourced goodness.

It was also facinating to see a bee farm behind the perspex - the most entertaining part was to watch the bee kill off any stray wasps in their home. Its amazing to watch them swarm the intruder and kill them - almost scary to see how quickly too!
The honey farm also had a mix of old farm machinery, some restored, some in stripped down, but all very facinating. Bizarrely they also had a couple of old London Routermaster buses that appear to be used as wedding cars - I thought they looked a bit shabby for wedding transport. However a bit of T-Cut and a bit of elbow grease and they would look brilliant.

We decided to take the alternative route home heading along the A697 and onto the A68. It was a slightly longer journey, but we felt nicer than the old A1 which we did to get down there.

Now, off to tuck into some of that honey cake we bought......
