Bird brained

Who says that birds are stupid?

These two loved up pigeons were hanging about our garden all day while I was doing the gardening (all day) - a big job since it's not been done in weeks (read "months).

After I finished cutting the grass, weeding the borders, pulling out moss from the cracks of the crazy paving and generally loads of other stuff that I hate, I sat down with a cuppa.

They were still at it.

Too big for the bird feeder, they were taking it in turns to flap around the feeder, butting it and knocking mid flight to spill the nuts out onto the grass below.

The other one strutted about underneath pecking up the goods.

Then they'd swap.

They were a couple. Nice to see them act that way.
