Kildrummy Castle

Took a trip out to Kildrummy Castle this morning.

We arrived in the car park to find the Saltire flying at Half Mast, and immediately wondered what piece of tragic news we had failed to catch this weekend.

When I asked about this at reception, the amazed Steward replied that this was completely unintentional - "it must have been that family who she saw letting their children play with the cord earlier this morning".

I offered to lend a hand as she went outside to raise the flag to full mast, and together we untangled the cord from the flag (the end of the cord had been left flapping about in the wind) and raised the Saltire to the top of the mast!
