new beginnings

I've progressed to manual!

Today I went on a tour of Edinburgh with a difference...It was facilitated by James Christie who is a professional photographer. I really enjoyed this trip/course, he was friendly, easy to understand and encouraging. Plus very reasonable financially, which means amateurs like myself could afford his expert advice.

For me, the most positive end to the day, is i'm on manual now... You can see more of the detail when viewed large.

Info on my blip: The National Monument, in the city of Edinburgh is Scotland's memorial to those who died fighting for the United Kingdom in the Napoleonic Wars.

The monument dominates the top of Calton Hill, just to the east of Edinburgh's New Town. It was designed by Charles Robert Cockerell and his collaborator William Henry Playfair and is modelled upon the Parthenon in Athens. Construction started in 1826, and the building is notable for being only partially completed.
