Long day. Left 90 minutes behind original schedule and about 45 minutes after revised schedule. At least the weather was better than yesterday - no rain.

Bumped into A, M and C at Tebay. We knew they were going to the same destination but was weird that we actual happened to stop at the same service station as they did at exactly the same time when they'd set off from Inverurie 3 hours earlier.

All went well till just after Oswestry when an attempt to avoid a dog leg meant we ended up in the wilds of North Wales - pretty but not where we wanted to be especially as night was approaching. eventually got to the B&B at 8.30 and made it to Salt 10 minutes before they stopped serving - phew! The steak and the 2 for 1 Cosmos were excellent.

We'll have a lovely view of Cardigan Bay - for one night only though.
