My autumn addiction

These chocolate-coated things here are called kruidnoten, literally translated 'spiced nuts'. They actually aren't nuts but some kind of very small biscuits (the blip is about real life size), flavoured with a mixture of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, clove), and this is the chocolate-variant (plain ones look like this).

They are in fact eaten only with the sinterklaas-holiday (December 5th, he's Santa Claus's anchestor), but over the last years supermarkets sell them earlier and earlier every year... the earliest ones this year were available mid-September and probably in ten years they're sold year round! Which I wouldn't mind, they're delicious and I always get addicted to them from september to december, hence the title.
