Hibs v Utd :: Chasing Shadows
Incredible comeback - or ridiculous self-inflicted hard work - whatever spin is put on it, Hibernian's two goals-within-a-minute in the second-half of today's game against Dundee United was a stunning surprise, and gave the home support much needed lift in yet another uncomfortable afternoon at Easter Road. A valuable point inches Hibs slightly further away from the bottom of the table.
Goal machine Garry O'Connor had put Hibs in front in the 23rd minute, but yet again his hard work was chalked off - and then forgotten - after a string of individual errors from Hibs allowed Dundee United to draw level and then take a 3-1 lead, with just over 20 minutes left to play. Almost incredibly, two of the Hibs' worst culprits in their frustratingly sloppy display - Osbourne and Agogo - then managed to put them level.
Not a convincing performance - considering I only counted three shots on target from Hibs over the course of the whole game - but they all went in, and as the saying goes... they all count!
