WHERE THE TWO DONKEYS

are quietly grazing in the meadow, there is at the other side of the small road a huge barn. Once I heard a sound from a chicken perhaps I thought coming from behind the door. But now we found out that in the afternoon the turkeys that are held there are brought to the open field and we saw them there and they saw us and came to us in a fast tempo thinking we have some food to give.
A sight I never saw before, a collection of the white animals with their strange heads. Out of their prison.
I wanted to go to Dalhausen, in the paper it was mentioned that the sheep, nicely decorated with flowers, were lead from the alm to the village.
Going by car, Piet Hein suggested an alternate route over the hills to Haarbrück and Jacobsberg. But already after some kilometers there was a diversion. And that made that when we arrived in Dalhausen the sheep were just being led in the carts and disappeared. A nice walk in the sun along the different stands and a very interesting visit to the Basket Museum where we learned a lot about the history of the making and trading of the basket. Hard work for adults and children for just enough money to stay alive.
From Dalhausen we went to the donkeys and there they were the turkeys too.
They were lifely enough and glad to be in the open. But as a vegetarian I hesitate to do a blip of them.

My haiku:

Find a solid rock
Plant your feet on it
Be a giant woman

And the proverb:

The pen is mightier than the sword.
