Having a Giraffe

Went to see the re-vamped National Museum in Edinburgh today. Caught this little fellow in the hall of animals sticking his tongue out at us. Pretty impressive room, it seemed like it was designed to look like you had just pressed pause on your Sky remote whilst watching a wildlife programme!

The re-vamped museum is absolutely brilliant, they have put so much time and effort in to how all the displays look.

The only depressing thing about it is that there are artefacts in there from my lifetime! Apple 3Gs is there, a Nintendo games console, a Sagem mobile phone that my friend had at uni in like 2003!!

Finlay especially loved the kids room, it is set up with musical instruments, a floor keyboard that plays theramin style music when you stand on the buttons and loads of other things for kids to do. We also managed to make the 2pm chiming of the millenium clock, well worth popping in to see on a trip to Edinburgh!
