The day job...

Many thanks to all who have left encouraging comments on my first two blips. Looking around your pictures, I get the distinct impression that you're all mainly into 'nature' photography... So it won't surprise me in the least if you're not as appreciative of this one ;-)

Been stuck in 'the office' all day, so no chance to get out and about to take pictures... Decided that I'd post something with a work flavour to it. What you see here in the foreground is some kit that I designed and built for Network Rail, Southwestern region -- it controls the big standby generators that ensure that the signalling keeps working if the mains ever goes off. The grey thing, with the bright yellow blobs, in the background isn't really related to this job, but it is related to another job I'm doing for the railway signalling industry.

With luck, I'll be back to the 'pretty' pictures tomorrow ;-)
