Sweet Corn.

There is an old New England saying that "corn is picked when the cooking water starts to boil." Corn sugar will start to turn to starch as soon as the ear is taken from the plant. To capture the sweetest flavor, pick just before preparing the dinner, or as close to it as you can ;)
