Upon Reflection.

Today was a very special day for my football club Glasgow Rangers as they had reached the final of the UEFA CUP .
I had travelled into Manchester to be part of what i thought was going to be a special day in the clubs history , how wrong could i be !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
The atmosphere in the streets around the fan zones was electric to say the least and the buzz of anticipation was amazing . The people of Manchester had no idea what was about to hit them as an estimated 250000 fans decended on them.
Unfortunately there is always a hooligan element that slips in and drags the club into the gutter tarring all fans with the same brush.
I have been to cup finals , league deciders and God knows how many Old Firm games but never in my wildest dreams have i witnessed what i saw that day.
To be fair herding near 60000 fans into a city square with no toilet facilities and plying them with alcohol was only asking for trouble especially when some fans were targeted by the police for no reason.
The hooligan element of the so called fans are a complete and utter disgrace to the club and should hang their heads in shame.
That is why i have put this on as my blip so that upon reflection a lot should be learned from this by both sides but fans have to remeber its just a game.
On ending i would like to say how sorry i was to hear of the death of Tommy Burns of Glasgow Celtic fame and football fans all over should pay respect to a man who had his heart in his club and country.
Now like my title says im of to reflect on haw things should have been .
The blip is The Wheel of Manchester and sits at the end of Deansgate in the city centre , i was to ashamed to show pics of the fans even though 99% of them were fantastic a partied their hearts out.
