Papal Artifacts

We spent our last day in the south of France exploring Avignon and being perfect tourists: cameras, ooo'ing and ahh'ing, moving around in hoards. At one point, I got caught in the midst of a tour group of Germans and felt slightly 'over-run' (history repeats itself...) ;)

Anyhoo, the pic was taken from the Palais des Papes, out of its top-most rampards and looking out on the Cathedrale des Doms. Beautiful day for schlepping around town.

We left later that day and I'm now back in my hometown of Mulhouse in Alsace for the next week, doing the family thing.

Now that I finally have a speedy internet connection, I can resume my commenting. Thanks to those who persisted in visiting my journal, in spite of my lack of interaction! :)
