A Walk Through Deb's Life

Bridges

This one wasn't here a week ago. It's a new pedestrian/bike path bridge and it's quite beautiful. Makes me wonder where the budget for such a thing came from. It was probably approved after a cyclist was hit by a car and someone sued someone. I think it's over-kill (no pun intended). I traverse this road frequently but rarely see a pedestrian/cyclist attempting to cross the road.

I met with an accountant this morning to get some assistance with my books. QuickBooks, to be exact. There's apparently nothing quick about QuickBooks. I'll be meeting with this adviser for months it seems. But the good news is I don't have to pay for it because I qualify for some grant monies through the Small Business Development Center. So, today I learned all the things I've done wrong so far and all the ways I can correct them. Bottom line: It's going to be time consuming. But then I pretty much expected that.

My beloved Taxman took Dad out for lunch in the Chevy. Dad adores time alone with another guy and also riding in the '53 Chevy. We'll be parking it for the winter months fairly soon, something my California-Dad will be disappointed to learn.

After making a delivery and stopping at the health food store (only to learn they permanently closed their doors six days ago), I'm trying really really hard to get into my soap lab and make a big batch. But my cozy bed is calling me for a nap. Evil thing.

I must force myself to cross that nap-bridge to the other side. Right. Now.

Note: I just realized how odd it may seem to read about my accountant and my taxman. To clarify: My husband is not a real taxman, he just plays one during tax season at our house.
