Today's blip was either going to be another sunset or another structure.

This the the University of Oslo library, or at least the Humanities and Social Sciences bit. It is faced in polished black marble and looks rather good.

When the University of York campus was first built in the 1960s there was also a plan to face the buildings in marble, but it was too expensive so we got pebble-dashed concrete instead. Oh well, at least I know what it might have looked like (if we had had columns not brutalist lego blocks, of course) ...
