me and my shadow

Today is my day off and its also the day that Ruby Daddy sits, or Daddy Ruby Sits, which ever way you want to put it.

Its the day that we hang out together as everybody else is at work or at school and we can just chill together, we usually go to mcdonalds today and do whatever else we fancy.

Ruby (3) starts our morning together by answering the phone.

R: Dont worry dad Im a big girl now...
R: Hello, its me.... Ruby...
A: Whos on the phone Rubes
R: Nanna

R: Mummys not here right now
Caller: Unknown response
R: No, im not on my own.
Caller: Unknown response.
R: Just me and my dad
Caller: Unknown response.
R: Well, were are going to look at bikes
Caller: Unknown response.
R: Then, we are going to mdconalds
Caller: Unknown response.
R: Then, we are going to papa bills.
Caller: Unknown response.
R: Ok, bye.....

A: Did nanna not want to speak to me honey ?
R: No dad, just me

A: I did 1471, it wasnt Nanna, it was the dentist, nice one Rubes


As planned we go to mcdonalds and get the coolest happy meal toy, ever, which is a spinning top. Ruby, the little entrepeneur swaps this at pappa bills house for a torch. Good on ya love, doubled your money there.

On the way home we then thwarted a robbery, I've always wanted to use the word thwarted and nows my chance. While passing past the chemist and the charity shop on mussleburgh high street, we overheard a guy and his mate talking about how they were going to get locked in the charity shop in order to gain access to the rear of the chemists window. They then go into the chemist and case the joint.

Ruby and I give it five minutes and report it to the chemist, so we did our good deed for the day. Thwarted baby Thwarted

Ruby has therefore become the youngest crime fighting toddler. Ruby-X
