Heron in flight

Had a lovely walk this afternoon, the weather was ok, at least it stayed dry until on our way back to the car when it started to rain.
Our grandson enjoyed going round the park.

I was slowly approaching the heron whilst it was walking through some long grass when it suddenly took off, obviously spooked by me.
Love the action of these amazing wings whilst the heron is in flight.
