Haycorns!

Many, many of them.

In case you have forgotten this is the origin of the word Haycorn!

This autumnal sight is near Bridge 226 on the Oxford Canal. (Previous Blipfoto entries this year have carried links to other bridges over the canal: Bridge 206 on 11 August, and Bridge 210 as well as Bridge 213 on 13 August.)

There is an attractive lock just upstream of the bridge.

And, very close by, runs the railway line (Paddington to Birmingham) that we have seen in several other photographs recently, for example, here.
