Ron Paul Revolution
Made a purchase from Ron Paul's campaign site for a bumper sticker (hanging on my door) and a button (pinned to my backpack)...Yay!
I love love love him. Ron Paul stands a much better chance of winning against Obama in the 2012 election than someone like Rick Perry or Michelle Bachmann, who are not likely to garner independent votes. In fact, a recent straw poll at a California GOP Convention had him as the clear favorite, winning 45% of the vote (more than the second and third place candidates combined), which is telling because California is traditionally a blue state.
When I watched CNN's Republican Presidential Debate a couple weeks ago, I was so annoyed that so much time was given to Romney, Perry, and Bachmann. Even if you may not agree with a politician's beliefs, I feel like every candidate should be given equal time to express his/her views. For instance, I find Jon Huntsman to be a viable presidential candidate, given his extensive foreign policy experience with China--but he was given maybe an eighth of the time during the debate that Bachmann received, if that. And for the 2008 election, Ron Paul did a fantastic job with collecting grassroots support and setting fundraising records, all of which was largely ignored by most news outlets.
I don't like how much power the media has in swaying elections, but I plan to do what I can to help Ron Paul's campaign.
