Open mic

Acoustic night at the Tiger Lounge in Manchester. As well as pre-booked artists it's open mic, which means getting to hear some random good people, who just turn up and ask to play. Like 'Ken' (no one seems to know his surname) who plays and sings in a kind of rockabilly cum Johnny Cash style. Tonight he does Bowie's 'Heroes' like that.

The shot was an experiment. It only partially works but the idea's there. I'm still learning the new camera. Today I was attempting to get my head around depth of field by switching it to manual mode. I need to learn a lot.
