Village life... man in a tree

You may have read or heard about the ongoing protest by villagers in Irton, near Scarborough, to save a 100 year old beech tree from being chopped down by North Yorkshire County Council, after a householder won legal proceedings to get it felled.
It's all become quite a media event, but nothing happened during the 4 hours I was put on the story.
Except for these horse riders trotting by, making a typical village scene,
except for the man in the yellow blanket who is living in the tree to help save it.
A fine eccentric, English protest!
