I was intrigued by the significance of the new installation outside the Palace of Culture and so was especially interested to see that it's a spot of Nikon marketing!

Had a SUPER day with 'the girls' - We were up unusually early, but that meant lots of tea and chat on the sofa before a late breakfast of bacon & egg rolls. After the six of us had showered, dressed, dried hair, straightened hair etc etc, we strolled on up the hill and into town for a mooch about some shops, an al-fresco late lunch at wine o'clock and then a quick butchers at Warsaw from top of the Palace of Culture.

We got our glad-rags on and spent a couple of hours in Le Cedre - lush Lebanese place across in Praga, for dinner. Had been before and have ordered takeaway from them on numerous occasions* so knew that we'd get a good meal. It was brilliant.

Cocktails followed back in town, with the pregnant and jet-lagged girls heading home while the rest carried on, until 3am...

*including a year ago, on an earlier visit!
