Broughty Castle

This is the castle at the mouth of the RiverTay that has featured in the past few sunrise shots, no sunrise this morning, just wall to wall grey. The sun is out now but it is very windy.
The Castle its self dates from the late 1400's but was probably built on the site of a previous fortification, a Broch, dating back to the iron age. the name Broughty derives from Broch & Tay,
