Photo Challenge Day 21 Pretty Pattern

This pretty pattern was made by my mum. I think it is called Blackwork Embroidery, an embroidery technique originally used to decorate clothing. But, whatever it is called, it represents many hours of very careful work.

It hangs on the wall directly above and behind my PC monitor so I look at it several times a day. The skill and patience to make it still impresses me.
