Chicks!

Back at the lake this afternoon, I was watching (and photographing) A Purple Swamphen collecting nest materials. I got side tracked for a few minutes and when I looked up, 3 chicks had come out of hiding with another adult and were scratching around in the mud.
The White-necked Heron was not at all concerned by the commotion although the adult Swamphen kept calling to the chicks as if telling them to come away.
