The clean up continues

Of course, our storm was nothing to what so many others have experienced this year, yet it was still considered a natural disaster, and two and half months after the event, the clean up continues.

Walking down to the old airstrip this morning, two huge machines with great metal claws fed the enormous mulcher without a pause. What was yesterday just huge piles of ripped timbers was today more huge piles of more finely ripped timbers.

Incredible that what took so long to grow has been transformed in just hours.
