Purple for a change

As it is a horrible dull & rainy day wondered what to blip....so it is the old standby just outside the front door....

Do not really need to go out today so a day of finishing Autumn fabric postcards for a swap, 2 to go to USA & the other one to Canada, the stamps are bought so once finished they will be on our way....

Why do we have such dull postage stamps, the ones for the postcards are of Queen Victoria, not smiling & are brown..yuk..other countries have lovely brightly coloured stamps so Royal Mail could you please brighten up your stamps
