My old girl turned twelve this summer. Her hips are bugging her and she's deaf as a door-knob, but she still seems to get the most out of her days. Her hips aren't so stiff that she can't get up on the kitchen counter if she wants, and the deafness comes in handy when she wants to chase something or wander away.
