Rose

During my run through the park (training for the Marikenloop the 18th, I will have to run 5 km/3 mi) I passed by this rose. Had to stop and take a picture.

I think I better should not take my camera with me while running the Marikenloop because my time will probable be a lot faster when I won't stop every time to take a picture...




The Marikenloop is an annual race for women, a so-called "ladies run". The race is 5 km or 10 km distance and is held in Nijmegen.

In 2003 the race was first organised with 1500 contestants. In 2007 that number had increased to 7000. I have no idea how many people will run this year, but I suspect it will be a busy day...

A part of the money raised will be donated to Pink Ribbon.
