Nerves!
Big day today. Tom had his filming at BBC Studio Centre for the Best Dish programme. He was taking a big risk.....a very very difficult dish to get right, complicated, exotic traditional British dish with a Michelin star twist to it. (can't tell you what it was as they have copyright on it!)
He was up against an established been-there-done-that TV chef with friends in the TV circuit, who in fact, chose a very simple dish.
He was up at the crack of dawn with a taxi picking him up to go to the studios. He was obviously nervous the night before, because my blip tonight is what I found on the kitchen table this morning when I came down.
Whatever happens, we're proud of him. The only Sous Chef to make it to the finals.
We'll drink to that!
