Robert Howard at 90
Couldn't let today pass without featuring my father in law. He's led what most people would call an ordinary life. Lived in the same town all his life, worked for the same building firm all his working life, never had a passport and even though he was driving up until he was 87 he had never driven on a motorway far too fast for him. And yet he served throughout WW2 in the RAF repairing wooden fighter bombers, had a special daughter (Mrs Wild) and survived a life threatening illness and still looks after himself in his own home (with our life support) he has done pretty well. Big old fashioned tea party at his house with friends and relations on Saturday. Many Happy returns.
