Loving Mum...

Eric and I went for a walk along the river bank near where we live to see if the morhen had hatched her eggs yet.

She was sitting on her nest, she didnt shout at us tonight she just laid there, she moved around and we saw one of her little chicks, Eric also saw some eggs. We will go back in a day or so to see if they have all hatched.

I couldnt stop looking at her nest she had made, it was perfect,I could imagine how warm her little babies were in the nest.

So clever, what a wonderful Mum she is.

This isnt a very good photograph of her as she is tucked well into the bank and it is a little dusk tonight.
