Sunset over the Forth

Looking at my work schedule, the weather and the tide times I think this is going to be my last 'school night' landscape for a few months and what a way to end it! I'd finished work early to get my 7 day check on my eyesight after the laser surgery and I've been told everything is looking great, no more goggles, no more anti-biotic drops. I got home early and looked out of the window and saw dirty grey skies heading over so started to think what I could photograph in the flat until I just thought I would give one more drive out to Longniddry.

I got there 15 minutes before sunset and just managed to get in position for the sun to throw the last of its rays across the waves and light up the rocks that were poking out of the incoming tide. I could tell this was going to be a good shot when it was being exposed and I'm really really happy with this last trip to the coast of the year.
