Morning rush in Baku.

Walking to work I pass by Jafar Jabbarli and 28 May metro. Mr Jabbarli, an Azerbaijani playwright died at the early age of 35. Today he frowns down on the pigeons and the onstruction site opposite him. Baku must have changed a lot since his day.

It was the clouds that caught my eye this morning. Later on the sky was uniformly grey. Most of the people in the photo are students at the oil academy which is the building on the right side of the shot.

It was our 3rd wedding anniversary today and we went out for a lovely dinner with friends, one of whom was making a very short work visit from Istanbul (we'll celebrate our 2nd 3rd wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks time just the two - ok now three - of us when we have a week's holiday). Dinner was delicious Asian fusion food at Dragon.
