Obvious one to start

Became aware of Blipfoto when a work colleague sent me a link today - with a sad story in his entry from yesterday. Despite the sad story the photo journal thing appeals so here goes. Expect a mix of iPhone and Fuji S5700 (my trusty bridge camera).

OK so a lack of imagination on a gloomy Tuesday means the first photo is of the Spitfire my username refers to.

Sadly it is most likely in hibernation until Spring now as my next proper day off is 8 October.

As usual the start of hibernation is when winter tinkering starts and one job this year is to replace the original bootlid with the nicer one perched on the roof which I picked up for a song at a car show in August.

But the winter also means getting the car up in the air and cleaning underneath, renewing rust proofing wax etc (horrible stuff) so expect a few more pics of this yellow beasty in winter before the fun stuff resumes next year.
